🧭 Your Current Trip
PacklistPRO works on one selected trip at a time. Every trip page — Packlist,
Tasklist, Itinerary, Notes, Expenses, Dashboard — names it in a bar under the page
title, and shows that trip and no other.
Tap the trip name to open its Trip Dashboard, or
press and hold it for Edit Trip. To switch trips,
use the dropdown in that bar on any trip page, or go to
All Trips and tap a different one.
No trip yet? Start there. Until you have one, every page above is
following a selection that doesn't exist, so they all come up empty — that's not a fault.
Use + New Trip below, then tag what
you'll be doing on Edit Trip and PacklistPRO
recommends the items and tasks to pack for it.
✉ Invitations Arrive Here
When someone invites you to their trip, a Trip Invitations card appears on this page.
It's the only place you can accept.
Accepting asks which of your own trips to link (or creates one for you). You don't move
onto their trip — the two are joined into a shared group, and their shared items, tasks, notes
and expenses start showing up on the trip you picked. You're taken straight to it.
Given a Trip Link Code instead? Use Join a Trip. That sends a
request the organizer has to approve, so nothing happens until they do.
✅ Suggested To-Do's
Two kinds of box share that list:
- Auto-checked — marked with an auto pill, and checked for you when the app
spots matching activity on your account. These cannot be unchecked.
- Manual — check these yourself to clear them. Manual checks save to your account
and follow you to every device.
An auto-check reads related activity, not the exact step, so treat one
as "covered" rather than as a record of what you did. Checked rows hide themselves — tap
Show Completed Items to see them again, and to uncheck anything you did manually.
Install PacklistPRO as an app only checks itself while you are viewing
this page from the installed app; in a normal browser tab it stays blank even after
you install, so just check it yourself. What's New is tracked per device, so it comes
back unchecked on a new browser or after clearing cookies.
🧩 The Other Cards
⏰ Reminders appears only when there's something to say: a trip with no
start date, no end date, or dates the wrong way round; Today's the day!
on the morning a trip starts; and Welcome home the day after one ends,
with a nudge to write the retrospective while it's fresh.
🤝 Money to settle is the one place that looks across every trip:
who owes you and who you owe, netted per person, with the trip named on each line
and a link straight to that trip's Expenses. It only lists what's still
outstanding and hides itself when nothing is.
🌤️ Weather is a forecast and radar for wherever you are or any place you
search. 📍 Where Am I? starts closed; open it and it
asks for your position, then shows the town, local time, time zone and how precise
the fix is — all worked out in your browser, at no cost. 📋 Copy Google Maps
Location puts a link to the exact spot on your clipboard.
🏬 What Place Am I At? is the one button on that card that
calls out: it lists the places within about a five-minute walk, nearest first —
the same lookup My Places uses to name the spot you're standing in. It needs you
signed in and allows ten lookups every five minutes.
💡 Tips
- Click any card's heading to collapse it — PacklistPRO remembers which cards you left open, on every device you sign in from.
- You can often long-press or double-click things to get to their edit page —
trips, items and tasks all work this way. There's always a visible route too
(a ✎ on the row, or the ⋮ menu), so you never have to use the gesture.
- On desktop, press ? for the keyboard shortcuts.
- Cards come and go: the Create your first trip row in Suggested To-Do's
ticks itself once you have any trip at all, and the whole card disappears once you
have finished everything on it.
- The installed app opens to whatever you pick under Where should PacklistPRO
open? on Preferences — it doesn't
have to be Home.
